Wong Hoi Lun from 5A and Lam Chun Yau from 5B have both received recognition for their exceptional writing skills. They were chosen by Write! WeCan, an English writing project in collaboration with Project WeCan and the South China Morning Post (SCMP), to participate in an intensive training course designed by SCMP writers. The programme aimed to nurture the students' interest in English and develop their writing, comprehension, and communication skills. 

While both students received recognition for their outstanding performance, Lam Chun Yau was specifically shortlisted for the extension programme, Becoming A Writer. This programme provided further training and experience, including interview training and a mock-up press conference, allowing students to experience the role of a reporter and learn to write a well-structured interview article. 

As part of the Write! WeCan project, the students were given the opportunity to visit the SCMP's office. This was an eye-opening experience that allowed the students to expand their knowledge of the workings of a modern media organization.
